Working with young people to explore their emotional worlds and build confidence often starts without words, giving them chance to express themselves and feel heard at the most basic level.

These sessions contain play involving instruments and games and are entirely person led. Sometimes they are loud, sometimes quiet, but the aim is always to find ways of relating and working with them wherever they are in the moment.

I work with families to support them in better understanding their child or young persons emotional world and improve their relationship.

“As a family we had been through a lot and I felt my relationship with my son was really damaged. Music Therapy helped us to connect again and even gave me ideas for ways to have fun at home in-between sessions. My son is much calmer and I feel like I really know how he’s feeling so I can help him and I see our future being much better now.”
